Born in Hickory Tavern, he was a son of Joann Stone Ross and the late Luther David “Buck” Ross. He was a member of Donalds Church of God and retired from The Town of Ware Shoals after 36 years of service.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home and his mother of Ware Shoals are: his son, Wayne (Genie) Ross of Honea Path; his daughter, Linda Ross of Ware Shoals; his sister, Barbara Ross of Ware Shoals; and three grandchildren; Bradley Ross, Jacob Ross, and Stephanie Ross.

David was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Mitchell Ross.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Donalds Church of God with Rev. James Ray Lollis officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday evening at Pruitt Funeral Home.
