Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Clarence Albert and Kathleen Kates Humphries. He was a member of Little River Baptist Church, and was retired from his work as an electrician for Duke Power.

Charles is survived by two sons: Christopher and Charles McGee of the home; two daughters: Peyton Adams of Lake Secession and Marie McGee of the home; one brother: David Humphries (Kathy) of Campobello; and one grandchild: Hunter Adams.

He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Ann Barton (Joe).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Little River Baptist Church with Rev. Garrett Hart officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10-11 prior to the service. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at Graceland Cemetery West on White Horse Rd. in Greenville.
