Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Acey and Mary Beatrice Motes Varnum. She attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and was retired from her work as a winder for Cooper Industries.

Mrs. Haper is survived by several nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by her brother Mickeal Wayne Varnum Sr.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends after the service from 4:30 – 6:30 PM Mrs. Harper’s home.
