Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Ray and Ethel O’Dell Bowman. He was of the Baptist Faith. A 1967 graduate of Ware Shoals High School, he was retired from the Monsanto Co. after 25 years of perfect attendance.

Surviving are a son, Travis Bowman (Kym) of Twin City, GA, two sisters, Janice Vaughn (Benny) of Ware Shoals and Rita Bowman of Greenwood, two grandchildren, Jaycee Bowman and Lizzie Bowman, a great grandchild Cali Anne Wells, and a nephew Benji Vaughn.

Private Graveside services were held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brian Dye officiating.
