Born in Anderson SC, she was a daughter of the late Columbus and Juila Smith Magaha. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She was previously married to the late Hoyt Lavern Ashley.

Surviving are: three sons, Greg (Teresa) Ashley, Timothy (Vonda) Ashley and Phillip Ashley; her step-daughter, Wendy Woodruff; daughter-in-law, Tammy Ashley, a brother, Roger Magaha; her sister, Sybil Magaha; ten grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Dylan, and Trellis Ashley, Brandon Hardbourgh, Emily and Tarah Ashley, Tyler Lumley, Heather Bass, and Valerie Lumley; two step-granddaughters, Laura Garris and Danielle (Jeff) Madigan; and eleven great-grandchildren, Layla, Philip, Lucas, Elias, Nora and Blake Ashley, Amiya Barnes, Nathan and Easton Bass, and Savannah and Ava Lumley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Robin Ashley; three brothers, Alton, David, and Danny Magaha; and two sisters, Barbara Timms and Linday Nicholson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Garden of Memories with Rev. Billy Slatten officiating.
