Born in Ware Shoals to the late Porter Efrong and Lucille Young Brock. He worked as a building contractor for many years. He was a great Daddy and Papa, a jack of all trades, and loved the Atlanta Braves.

Mr. Brock is survived by his son Johnny Lamar Brock of West Union, his daughter April Forrester and husband Todd of Hartsville, five grandchildren: David Brock, Aprile Leigh Stephens, Jackson Forrester, Hannah Forrester, and Richard Howe; and five great-grandchildren: Gavin Brock, Morgan Stephens, Mason Stephens, Violet Hall, and Amari Cannon.

He was preceded in death by his son Richard David Brock, his brothers Jasper and Sloan Brock, and his sisters Ellen Alewine and Bertha Mae Jones.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, January 11 at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
