Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late Thomas Berry and Maggie Pace Davenport. He was a farmer, loved fishing and was of the Holiness faith.

He is survived by his son Chris Davenport (Mandy) of Statesville, NC, two daughters, Teresa Pope (Timothy) of Lincolnton, NC and Lisa Wright (Jonathan) of Newton-Conover, NC, a sister, Sara Fortner of Stanley, NC, nine grandchildren, Kaitlin Walters, Paige Jenkins, Jason Clark, Austin Pope, Savannah Pope, Isaac Wright, Jonathan Wright, Emma Davenport, and Hunter Davenport.

He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Arthur Leroy Davenport and Charles Thomas Davenport.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Monday, January 31, 2022 at Laurens City Cemetery, Laurens, SC with Rev. Byron Wood officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-2:00 P.M. at the Laurens City Cemetery on Monday prior to the service at the graveside.
