Sybil Campbell McCoy

Honea Path - Sybil Minnie Campbell McCoy, 82, wife of Clarence Douglas McCoy, died Friday, February 4, 2022 at Prisma Heath Greenville Memorial Hospital.

 

A native of Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Addie Jennings Campbell. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. She worked in textiles, first for Chiquola Mills, and retired from Riegel Textile Co.

Surviving are a son, Teddy Douglas McCoy (Michelle) of Honea Path, eleven grandchildren, T.J. McCoy of Seneca, Lexi Townsend (Alex) of Pasadena, MD, Kacee Phillips (Lee) of Honea Path, Hayley Eskew (Tony) of Honea Path, Timmy Campbell of Honea Path, Terry Campbell of Honea Path, Angel McCoy of Honea Path, Jennifer Jennings of Anderson, Tracy Braziel (Shelley) of Boiling Springs, Brandi Lollis (Kenneth Wells) of Starr and Randy McCoy (Ashely) of Honea Path,, twenty-four great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, two sons, Kenneth and Randy McCoy, four brothers, John, Roy, Clarence, and Wade Campbell, and three sisters, Bobbie Posey, Betty Alewine, and Linda Phillips, grandson Travis T. McCoy and special friend, James “JM” Porter.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Pruitt Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com.
