Born in Charleston SC, he was the son of Kathleen Gary Beach and the late Paul Lamar Beach. Paul was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and formerly worked at Anderson Memorial Hospital and the Anderson County Library.

He is survived by his mother of the home.
