Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late John David and Frances Ashley Taylor. He attended Donalds Church of God and was a retired farmer.

Surviving are: two sons, Kenneth Taylor-Mosley and Eddie Taylor, both of Anderson; his daughter, Shelby Smallwood of Williamston; two brothers, Johnny Edward (Mattie) Taylor of Anderson and Ramy Dale Taylor of Belton; four sisters, Bessie Honea of Belton, Mattie Gambrell of Honea Path, Lou (Jay) Miles of Coward, SC, and Barbara Herndon of Valdosta, GA.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Joyce Ann Taylor and Linda Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, April 4, 2022 at Donalds Church of God with Rev. James Ray Lollis and Mr. Bobby Gambrell officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
