Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Patsy Vaughn Strickland and the late James Parker McCullough. He was of the Baptist faith and formerly worked as construction foreman for Cell Site Technologies.

Surviving are his wife Pamela of the home, his mother Patsy of Honea Path, step-mother, Faye Crawford McCullough of Honea Path,. a stepson, James Kissiah (Nicole) of Gray Court, a brother, Dale Madden (Andrea) of Honea Path, two grandchildren, Adalyn Kissiah and Joshua Kissiah, and  nephews, Trevor Madden, Brayden Burgess, and Caden Burgess.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path, with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
