Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Nannie Ruth Pitts Allen. She was a member of the Ware Shoals Church of God of Prophecy. She was twice married, first to the late Robert E. Simmons. A graduate of Ware Shoals High School, she was retired from The Burton Center, Ware Shoals, and was formerly employed by Belmont College of Nashville, TN.

Surviving are a brother, Bennie Ray Allen of Ware Shoals and two nephews, William Kevin Allen and Travis Allen. She was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Allen and a nephew, Nicholas Cory Allen.

Graveside services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Susan Allen and Rev. Mark Lowe officiating.
