Honea Path – Marilyn Elaine Turner Campbell, 70, wife of Jimmy Ray Campbell, of Mt Bethel School Road, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House. Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late James Ellis and Ruby Walker Turner. She was a member of Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Campbell was a graduate of Greenwood High and attended Piedmont Technical College. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Welborn Chevrolet and Timiken. Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 52 years of the home are: two daughters, Deborah (Derek) Mattison of Honea Path and Angela (Heath) McCall of Belton; her sister, Darlene (Watson) Goldman of Anderson; three grandchildren, Joshua Mattison, Alivia McCall, and Alex McCall; special nieces, Candace (Michael) Kirby of Anderson and Carol Jepsen of Easley; and special friend and caregiver, Krystal Gilmer of Belton. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Brent McMaster and Rev. Keith Crocker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home and will receive friends from 2- 3 P.M. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
