Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Shelia Kay Ballard Phipps and the late Christopher Lee Reedy. She was of the Baptist Faith and loved rock collecting.

Surviving are her husband, Duane of the home, one son Jacob Duane McFerrin of Lexington, one daughter McKenzie McFerrin of Lexington, one brother Kevin Clayton Reedy of Elberton, GA, one sister Amy Renee Herring of Greenwood, a step-daughter, Kensley McFerrin of Greenwood, and a granddaughter, Adalee.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.
