Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Evelyn Brock Parris and the late Birley Clarence Parris. He was a member of Honea Path Church of God. He was employed by American Concrete as a truck driver.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and his mother of Honea Path are; his brother, Ken (Allison) Parris of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Noah, Taliesin, and Gabby; and nieces, Jessica and Brooke.

A family memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Friday, May 9, 2025 at Honea Path Church of God with Rev. M. Eric Shuler officiating.
