Surviving are a brother, James H Kowalik (Lori) of Wrightwood, CA, a sister Mary Kowalik (Mark) of San Diego, CA, stepson Tillman Stevens III (Michelle), stepdaughter Karla Ray (Ronnie), grandchildren Marcus Stevens (Kearie), Joshua Stevens Sr., Andrew Mathews (Cheyenne), Jessica Polzin (Gatlin), Kyra Stevens, and Keaton Stevens, nieces and nephews Amber, Ashley, CJ, Hannah, Hayley , Daniel, Anna O’Conner, Amanda Barrasso, and Lisa Steward Westbury (Benny), and twelve great grandchildren, Joanna, Meadow, Willow, Rayne, Elijah, Desmond, Finn, Karma, Joshy, Charlie, Salmon, and Maisy.

He was predeceased by his wife Cheryl, his parents, a brother Joseph, a sister Phyllis, and a grandson Teddy.

Family memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 9th at Friendship Baptist Church, Honea Path with Rev. Hunter Ramsey officiating. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM at Friendship Baptist Church prior to the service.
