Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Kimsey and Martha “Tot” Richey Ashley. She was a long time and faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. She worked for many years at Rice Mills and then retired from Timken.

Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 60 years of the home are: her sister, Kim (Steve) Hughes of Anderson; extended family, Russ and Angie Black, Will Black and Jay Black, all of Saluda; Sherion Black of Seneca; and Kenny and Cindy Black of Honea Path; and her beloved pet, Callie.

Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother-in-law Ronnie Black.

The family extends a special thanks to VIA Health Partners and Beyond Care Home Care Services for excellent care of Becky and service to the family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday August 16, 2025 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Hunter Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
