Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Furman and Nellie Mae Bagwell Vaughn. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a graduate of BHP High School. He was retired from TPI of Honea Path.

Surviving are his wife Cynthia of the home, two sons, Jeremy Vaughn (Hannah) of Irmo and Christopher Vaughn of Honea Path, two sisters, Doris Fleming and Linda Powell, two grandchildren, Ryleigh and Daniel, three sister-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, Jodie Vaughn, Ralph Vaughn, and Larry Vaughn, and a sister, Nellie Ruth Vaughn.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1 PM to 3 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025 at his home. Other services and burial will be private.
