Born in Greenville County she was a daughter of the late Douglas Wayman and Ruth Ellen Collins Gailey. She was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of the Greenville Senior High School Class of 1976.

Surviving are one son, Jason Robbins (Kristen), a brother, Stephen Gailey (Kerri)  and a sister, Kathie Smith, two grandchildren, River Douglas Robbins and Willow Athena Robbins, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  Above all, Deborah cherished her role as “Grandma Deborah”. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her beloved grandchildren, River and Willow and the special bond that they shared.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two sisters, Frances Hammonds and Pat Dyar.
