Shirley Walker

Laurens - Shirley Lenore McNeill Walker, 73, of Boyds Mill Pond Road, wife of Charles Edward Walker, died December 9, 2025.

Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Lockridge and Clara Lucille Epps McNeill. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Laurens. She was a loving wife and mother who adored her grandchildren. Shirley had worked as a seamstress at Richloom of Ware Shoals and Stone Manufacturing of Greenville. She was a wonderful artist who loved to do paintings and murals.

Surviving are her husband, Charles, of the home, a son, David Cromer (Lori) of Anderson, two daughters, Melanie Stewart (Keith) of Abbeville, and Christie Metz of Columbia, three brothers, Don McNeill, Sammy McNeill, and Tracy McNeill, all of Abbeville, five grandchildren, Kayce, Dalton, Autumn, Robert, and Taylor, and eight great-grandchildren Julian, Weston, Waylon, Emilia, Whitley, Grayden, Macie, and Harper.

In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by a grandson, Wesley Kyle Cromer.

Memorial services will be at 12 Noon on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Parker-White Funeral Home, Ware Shoals, with Pharisee Hall officiating.
