Born on December 2, 1928 in the Township of Walnut Grove, she was a daughter of the late William Raymond and Geneva Furnida Martin Dodson. She was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church and a graduate of Ware Shoals High School.

Surviving are a son, Ronald Alan Malone (Tammy) of Travelers Rest, a daughter, Linda Malone Smith (Joe) of Greenville, five grandchildren, William Matthew “Matt” Malone (Aja), John Andrew “Drew” Malone, Grace Bryson Sheffield (Brett), Jessica Smith VanDyke (Phil), Walter Dodson “Dodson” Bryson (Kasi), and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, William Leon Dodson, and a sister, Bernice Dodson Jones.
