Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Ernie Lowe and Georgette Washburn Kessleberg. He was a member of Gethsemane Church. Also a member, Past Master, and Treasurer for many years of Bascombe Lodge # 363 A.F.M. He was the former owner and operator of Walt’s Shoals Junction Station.
Surviving are his wife, Andis, a son, Rev. Mark Lowe (Christie) of Ware Shoals, two daughters, Tracey Burel (Travis) of Donalds and Julia Franklin (Steve) of Jacksonville, NC, two sisters, Beverly Lowe of Jacksonville, NC and Darlene Belshe of Henley, MO, six grandchildren, Nathan Lowe (Kynsey), Noelle Lowe (Dustin), Samuel Burel, Stephanie Fredrick (Mike), William Franklin, and Stephen Franklin, and five great grandchildren, Eli, Ethan, Aidan, David, and Adam.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Gethsemane Church with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating. Masonic rites will follow.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service.
