Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Marvin Evans and Sybil Carolyn Bannister Bratcher. He worked in maintenance for the last 30+ years, and was a member of the National Guard.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Randall Dale Bratcher (Tina) of Honea Path and Joey Evans Bratcher (Melonie) of Belton; his brother Timothy Mark Bratcher; his sister Sheila Carolyn McClain; three grandsons and four great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date.
