Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Roy Lee and Mamie Pauline Bannister Hanley. She was a member of Honea Path Church of God of Propechy. She was retired from Kemet of Greenwood.

Surviving are a son Shannon Bowen of Ware Shoals, two daughters, Paula Ann Allen and  DeAnn Allen (Jason) both of Ware Shoals, four sisters, Shelby Laughlin, Sylvia Crittendon, Judy McGill, and Vickie Cowart, five grandchildren, Kelsy (Carson), Erin, Nathan, Emma, and Eva, and a great grandchild, Wrenly.

In addition to her parents and her husband she was predeceased by a brother, Danny Roy Hanley and a sister Sandra Hanley.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Monday November 9, 2026 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path with Rev. Keith Crocker and Rev. Mark Lowe officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Monday prior to the service at Pruitt Funeral Home.
