BERLIN HEMBREE

Ware Shoals, S.C. Berlin Hembree, 85, husband of Mary Anna Walls Hembree of 525 Hembree Road died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Self Regional Healthcare. He was born in Ninety Six, S.C., a son of the late Marvin and Ella Edmonds Hembree and was retired from Monsanto.

Mr. Hembree was an active member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church. He was a Deacon , sang in the choir and has served as Special Music Director, served as RA leader, Sunday School teacher, Church Historian, Nursing Home Ministry and Outreach Ministry .

Surviving besides his wife of the home are two daughters, Teresa Medlin and husband, John, Ware Shoals and Gayle Youngblood and husband Dean, St. Clair Shores, Michigan.; one son, David Hembree and wife, Tammy, Ware Shoals; one brother, Hoyt Hembree and wife Ann, Greenwood, one sister, Lucille Morrell and husband, Melvin, Ware Shoals; also grandsons, Matt and Josh Medlin, Blake Malone and Noah Youngblood and one granddaughter, Heather Hembree and two great-great grandchildren, John Preston Medlin and Madison Medlin.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Eric Jonathan Hembree

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, 3 pm at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop and Mr. Tom Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Matt and Josh Medlin, Blake and Wade Malone, Marcus, Lamar and Byron Morrell and Larry Hembree.

Honorary escort will be members of the Men’s Sunday School class and any RA’s present or past and special friends, Hubert Lollar, Dewey Ouzts, Manly Balentine and Lyman Golden.
