Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late William Grover and Leila Brock Owens. She was twice married, first to the late Charles Edward Smith. She was a homemaker and attended Southside Baprist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Dyar of Honea Path, two step-sons, Jerry and Phil Flynn, both of Lancaster, a sister, Lena Etrulia Smith of Honea Path, three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, Steve Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Monday at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Dyar officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Kathy Dyar, 327 Eastview St. and will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 2 PM Monday.
