Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Madison and Ollie Mae Cothran Martin. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, G.A. Leader and with WMU. She was retired from Riegel Textile Corp.
Mrs. Davis was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Suzanne J. Davis of Greenwood, two grandchildren, Mary Keith Williams and Drew Davis, and two great-grandchildren, Katie and Isabel Williams.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Michael Andrew Davis, three brothers, Thomas, JC, and Carl Martin, and her sister, Ruth Martin Morrison.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service.
