George Dennis Sims, 78, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Ware Shoals – Michael “Mike” Bishop Elledge, 66, of Poplar Springs Road, died Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at his home.
Born in Laurens, he was a son of Sue Bishop Elledge and the late Ryland Lamar Elledge. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and attended Ware Shoals High School.
Surviving are his mother, Sue, of the home, a brother, Marion Elledge (Roger) of Mobile, AL., a sister Millie Tatham of Ware Shoals, a niece, Abby Tatham of Ware Shoals, and a nephew Luke Tatham (Anna) of Ware Shoals.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop.
The family will be at their respective homes and will speak to friends at the cemetery after the graveside service. The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations sent to the Mental Health/Suicide Awareness, Humane Society, or cancer society of one’s choice.
