Greenwood – Betty Louise Brown Schumpert, 93, of Stonehaven Drive, widow of James Luther “Pete” Schumpert, died Tuesday November 2, 2023 at Self Regional Healthcare.

Ware Shoals – Janice Simpson McDonald went to heaven on Monday, October 30, 2023.  She fought a long courageous battle with cancer and remained positive throughout. She was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and attended Winthrop College. Janice enjoyed gardening, crosswords and other word puzzles, and liked watching game shows on TV. Reading was one of her favorite interests. She was a hard and faithful worker with many years as a retail training coordinator in Dallas and Plano, TX. After returning to SC, she was employed at Consolidated Tires in Greenville in accounts payable until she retired when she loved trips to the beach and mountains.

Mrs. Margaret Elaine Wilson McQueen, 68, of Yemassee, entered into eternal rest Thursday morning, October 26, 2023, at her residence.  She was the widow of the late Michael Keith McQueen.

Honea Path- Bryon George Daly, 70, husband of Nancy Lynn Callahan Daly, of Honea Path, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at his home.

Honea Path – Kathryn “Kathy” Louise Tyson Gatens, 80, wife of Lt. Col. Paul David Gatens, Sr. (Ret), of Todd Road, passed away Wednesday, October, 11, 2023 at her home.
