Margaret Hooper Blaskowitz

Graveside services for Margaret Hooper Blaskowitz, 91, of Greenville, SC will be Saturday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at Donalds Baptist Church cemetery in Donalds, SC.

Mrs. Blaskowitz died April 28. A long time resident of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Blaskowitz was a school teacher for over 47 years. Her passion was always teaching young children to read. She was a graduate of Erskine College and Clemson University.

She is survived by daughters Betty Brown and Carole Ingle of Greenville and son and daughter-in-law Richard and Mary Ann Blaskowitz of Camden. Mrs. Blaskowitz is also survived by nine grandchildren: Joey Brown (Stacey) of Spartanburg; Tim Brown and Phillip Brown of Greenville; David Brown (Katie) of Anderson; Gretchen Brown Jax (Jeremy) and Brittney Brown Prichard (Jon) of Charlotte, NC; Lynn Ingle Swanger (Kenny) of Greenville; Beth Blaskowitz Kirincich (Jason) of Lugoff, SC; and Laura Blaskowitz-Bantz (Phil) of Keene, NH. Mrs. Blaskowitz's survivors also include three great-grandchildren: Brandon Brown of Spartanburg, Thomas Brown of Anderson, and Jake Kirincich of Lugoff.

Mrs. Blaskowitz was pre-deceased by her husband Edward Blaskowitz, a son Edward Blaskowitz, Jr., two sisters - Lillie and Essie - and her parents Rev. and Mrs. T.L. Hooper.
