Belton – Mrs. Martha Brock McClain, 84, of 17824 Brown Ave. Ext., widow of Charlie Simpson McClain, went home to be with her savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, January 3, 2011.



Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Nettie Brock. She was a homemaker and a member of Belton Church of God.

Surviving are four sons, Sammy McClain and wife Patsy of Honea Path, Dennis McClain of Simpsonville, Richard McClain and wife Tammi of Belton, and Charlie Junior McClain of the home; six daughters, Becky Edwards, Eveline Edwards and husband Donnie, Sue Oats, Linda Faye Strickland, Lucia McClain, and Shelby Holliway and husband Marvin, all of Belton; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by six brothers, S.A. Brock, Homer Brock, Guy Brock, Walter Brock, Hobert Brock, and Horace Brock; four sisters, Kara McClain, Elizabeth Bratcher, Mary Clamp, and Rosie Brock, and one grandson, Jeff McClain.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday at Belton Church of God with Rev. Paul Herring and Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 2 P.M. Thursday. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
