Ware Shoals, S.C. John Haskell Pearman, 62, husband of Katherine Drexel Ackerson Pearman of 47 Saluda Ave. died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Abbeville County, a son of Mary Pruitt Pearman of Donalds and the late James Floyd “Buck” Pearman. He was retired from the National Guard after thirty five years with the rank of Sgt. Major. He was a member of Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church where he was a member of the choir and the Men’s Sunday School Class. He was also a member of Ware Shoals Lion’s Club and Gideons International. Surviving besides his mother of Donalds and wife of the home are : one daughter, Jennifer Browning and husband, Phillip, Ware Shoals, one brother, James F. Pearman III and wife Lauri, Antreville, S.C. , two grand children , Chase and Chandler Browning of Ware Shoals, Niece and Nephew, Kacy and Drew Pearman and special pet, Ginger. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 3 pm, at Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wayne Wicker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Barry Dunn, Drew Pearman, Kent Culbreath, Eric Prince, Blake Prince, Mike Shirley.
Honorary escort will be the Men’s Sunday School Class and the Dixie High Capri’s Supper Club.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday 1:30 -3 pm at the church
