Kat Black

Honea Path – Katharine Alice Campbell Black, 90 wife of Albert Black, of 601 Holiday Dam Road, died Saturday July 2, 2011 at The Maples.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Louie and Beulah Pruitt Campbell. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a member of the Dogwood Garden Club for many years. She was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and was formerly a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 72 years are: one son, Tommy Black and wife Charlotte of Honea Path; one daughter, Anne Pruitt and husband Bill of Honea Path, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Melinda Todd.

Funeral services will be Monday July 4, 2011 at 11AM at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
