Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Wilton Eugene and Hattie Morris Walker. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church . She had retired after many years of service as Church Secretary and also served as Choir Leader and Sunday School Teacher.
Surviving are a dear friend, Frankie Page of Honea Path and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by six brothers, Chester Walker, Floyd Walker, Rev. Joe Walker, Rev Henry Walker, Rev. Harvey Walker, and W.E.”Bill” Walker, and six sisters, Ruth Gambrell, Claudia Long, Vermelle Thomson, Elizabeth Malone, Edna Smith, and Mary Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday at Chiquola Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Powell, Dr. Clarence Adkins, and Dr. Jerry White officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 10 AM Monday. The family will be at her home.
