W.C. “Bill”Williamson

 

Donalds - William Clifton “Bill” Williamson, 71 husband of Peggy McClellan Williamson of 160 Kirkpatrick Rd. died July 30, 2011 at his home.  He was born in Abbeville County, a son of the late Marvin Lamar and Gladys Medlock Williamson. He was a member of Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church and Woodman of the World. He was a US Army veteran and was a retired self employed brick mason. 

 

Surviving besides his wife of the home are two daughters, Debra W. Martin and Donna W. Hagen both of Honea Path, three grandchildren, Brandon Williamson and wife Deidra, Brittany King and Dalton Hagen and a faithful companion, Chloe.

He was predeceased by a son, William C. Williamson, Jr, brothers, H. Lamarr Williamson and Gerald E. Williamson, and sisters, Dorothy W. Davis and Brenda W. Green.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, 4 pm at Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wayne Wicker and Rev. Mark Strickland officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Ashley, Dan Campbell, Greg Watson, Donnie McClellan, Sam Williamson, Doug Compton and Jimmy McCurry.

Honorary Escort will be Larry Ashley, Don Boling, Joe Wells, Donnie Gambrell and Grady Strickland. 

The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday, 6-8 pm at Parker-White Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, S.C, 29621 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place,Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
