Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of Addie McClain New of Belton and the late George Thomas New. She was of the Baptist faith. She was formerly employed at Parkon Plant as a weaver.
Surviving in addition to her mother are four brothers, Roy McClain of McCormick, Leonard McClain of Charleston, Terry McClain of Greenville, and George New of Belton, three sisters, Pamela Cliett, Rhonda Kelly, and Christie New, all of Greenville.
Memorial services will be held at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 1:30 with Kathy McClellan officiating.
