Elizabeth Smith

 Belton – Mrs. Elizabeth Coker Smith, 79, of 250 Corner Road, widow of William M. Smith, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at her home.

 

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Milbert and Ruby Strickland Coker.  She attended Cross Road Pentecostal Church and was a retired nurse assistant for Anderson Hospital

Surviving are:  a son, Sammy Wayne Smith and wife Frankie Sue of Honea Path; two daughters, Beverly Smith of Belton and Debra Jean Elgin and husband Ray of Petersburg, Virginia; one brother, James Coker of Liberty; two sisters, Maganea Ann Hicks of Tennessee and Kathy Hopkins of Texas; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  She was predeceased by two sons, Douglas Michael Smith and William Randall Smith; one brother, Seth Boyd Coker and one sister, Doris Coker Madden.

Graveside Services will be held at 2PM Friday at the Garden of Memories with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. 

The family is at the home of a son, Wayne Smith, 1020 Tornado Road, Honea Path. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Flowers omitted. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
