She was born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Jasper and Ruby Williams Cooley. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving besides her husband of the home are: one son, William F. Howard, Laurens, Two daughters, Barbara Thompson and husband, Daniel, Ware Shoals and Wendy South and husband, Travis, Laurens. Also one sister, Susan Palmer, Walhalla, seven grandchildren ; Mica Davis, Zachary Fricks, Heather Fricks, Haley Fricks, Dylan Fricks, Marissa South, and Faith South, one great grandchild ,Kristin Norwood and one great-great-grandchild, Kayonna Norwood.
She was pre-deceased by sisters, Margaret Ann Knight , Mary Edna Smith and one grandson, Shoan Norwood.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday, 3 pm at Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Owens officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
