Waterloo- Bobby Martin Allen, 76, of 104 Allen Rd. died September 29 at Hospice of Laurens.
Born in Waterloo, he was the son of the late Theron and Miriam Evelyn Allen. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was also a veteran of the United States Army. He attended Laurens High School, North Greenville College and Erskine College. He was a member of the Brewerton Lodge #183 A.F.M., and a Shriner in Greenwood County. He was also an original member of the Hejaz clowns.
Surviving are 3 sons, Jeff Allen of the home, Ruck (Terri) and Marty (Laurie) Barnes, both of Rock Hill, one daughter, Eva Williams (Neil) of Laurens, thirteen grandchildren, and a special friend, Anne Allen of Spartanburg.
Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Sullivan and Rev. Billy Cathcart officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday at Parker-White Funeral Home, Ware Shoals. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Olive Cemetery Fund c/o Sue Tinney 149 Mt. Olive Church Rd. Ware Shoals SC 29692.
