Born in Honea Path, he was a son of th elate Cliff “Doc” and Daisey Richey McGaha. He was of the Holiness Faith and was a retired paint contractor.
Surviving are a son, Rickey Bowen of Abbeville; two daughters, Rhonda Hanks and husband Steve of Honea Path, and Rita Bowen Allison and husband Jimmy of Honea Path; a brother, Doc Junior McGaha of Honea Path and a sister, Margaret McGaha of Honea Path; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother Lewis McGaha.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path, with Rev. Jerry Mize and Rev. Andrew Overby officiating. Burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery.
