Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert, Sr. and Addie Smith Ashley. She was twice married 1st to the late Haskell Newton Wilson. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was retired from Park-Davis Company, a 1945 graduate of Honea Path High School and had attended Columbia College.
Surviving are her husband of the home; two sons, Mike Wilson and wife Judy of Belton, and Don Wilson and wife Carol of Honea Path; a step-daughter, Pam Paxton and husband Fred of Central; three grandchildren raised in the home, Boyce Wilson and wife Pamela of Abbeville, Robyn Smith and husband Brad of Honea Path, and Dixie Wilson-Ross and husband Stephen of Iva; six grandchildren, Ashley Pruitt and husband Pat, Josh Bouldin and wife Julia, Addie Reid Wilson, Kirsten Milford, Chaz Paxton and wife Leah, and Brandon Paxton; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a brother Herbert Ashley, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Troy Crain and Rev. Ron Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
