Born in Anderson County, he was predeceased by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Carl N. Parker and a granddaughter, Amy Parker. He was a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church and was retired from C.W. Murphy Ford.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: one son, Butch Parker and wife Jean of Honea Path; two daughters, Pam Nickels and husband Marion of Belton and Patti Barrett and husband Wade of Honea Path and five grandchildren, Kaci Argo, Will Nickles, Charles Parker, Adam Nickles and Carla Parker.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Moody officiating. Burial to follow at Barkers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM prior to the service.
