Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Watson and Bonnie Daniel Gambrell. He attended the Hodges Church of God and was retired from Heilig Meyer Furniture Co. of Greenwood.
Surviving are his wife of the home, three sons, Jimmy Gambrell of Honea Path, Johnny Gambrell of Ware Shoals, and James Gambrell of Abbeville, a daughter, Vickie Brock of Belton, two half-sisters, Frances Bryant nad Bobbie Shaw, both of Anderson, three grandchildren, Jonathan Gambrell, Dustin Gambrell, and Dylan Gambrell, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Caldwell and Rev. Earl Quick officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 P.M. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. The family is at the home.
