Allie Coker

Ware Shoals – Allie Kirby Coker, 89, of 14 Green Acres Dr. widow of Cecil Coker, died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center.

 

 Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar “Doc” and Jane Traynham Kirby. She was the step-daughter of the late Emma Jordan Kirby. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and of the Dorcas Sunday School class. She was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation.

 Surviving is a daughter, Elaine C. Taylor and husband, Robbie of Ware Shoals, one grandson, Rodney S, Taylor, and two great-grandchildren, Riley S. Taylor and Colton Robert Taylor. She was predeceased by a daughter Jewel Rebecca Taylor, two brothers, Eugene and J.B. Kirby, and three sisters, Sarah Woods, Mary Katherine Stallings, and Gena Allison.

 Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Sunday at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-3PM prior to the service at the church.
