Lillian Jenkins

 

Honea Path – Lillian Mae Gambrell Jenkins, 96, widow of Carl Clinton Jenkins, of 1122 Todd Rd, died Friday January 6, 2012 at NHC Anderson.

 

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Joe Alexander and Essie Vaughan Gambrell. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and retired from Chiquola Manufacturing.

Surviving are one son, Howard Jenkins of Westminister, one daughter, Patricia (Joe) Leopard of Laurens, four brothers, Aaron Gambrell (Robbie) of Honea Path, Rufus Gambrell (Ella Mae) of Belton, Larry Gambrell (Leslie) of Belton, and Smythe Gambrell (Nona Gail) of Knoxville TN; one sister, Lois Ellison of Belton, three grandchildren, Keith Beeks (Laura), Kevin Beeks (Kristi), and Treva Burgess (Jimmy); and five great-grandchildren, Rachel and Rebecca Beeks, Kimbell Dobbins, Avery and Kendall Burgess.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy Alewine and a daughter-in-law, Lois Jenkins. 

Funeral services will held at 3PM Sunday January 8, 2012 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church cemetery.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Sunday from 2-3PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
