Hazel Lusk

 

Honea Path – Hazel Virginia McGee Lusk, 88, widow of the late William Marvin Lusk, of The Maples, died Tuesday January 17, 2012 at her home.

 

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Broadus Henry and Ruth Azilee Wilson McGee. She was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of WMU and the church choir. She also served as a Sunday school teacher for the majority of her adult life and was in charge of the homebound ministry for many years. She was retired from Milliken.

Surviving are two sons, Billy (Barbara) Lusk and Dennis (Carol Ann) Lusk, all of Honea Path; one daughter, Kathy Williamson of Belton; one brother, John (Miriam) McGee of Belton; one sister Lettie Ann Wright of Belton; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Tom McGee.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Thursday January 19, 2012 at Barkers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends 6-8PM Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barkers Creek Baptist Church, 3207 Hwy 252 Honea Path SC 29654. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
