Honea Path – Mrs. Frances Eleanor Copeland Williams, 90, widow of James Henry Williams, of 306 Samuel Road, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at her home.
Born in Clinton, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Lucille Riddle Copeland. She was a member of the Honea Path Presbyterian Church for many years and loved her church family. She served as treasurer emeritus and was leader of Circle 1 and delivered tapes to shut-ins. She was very active in the community with Meals on Wheels, Alzheimer’s Support Group and Food Commodity Program.
Surviving are: one son, John Steven Williams; two daughters, Barbara Williams Wright and husband John and Cathy Altman all of Honea Path; one sister, Emily Copeland Welch of Greenville; and devoted friends, Daisy Callaham and Joyce Dovolo. She was predeceased by one brother, William Guy Copeland and one grandson, John Stephen Wright.
A graveside service will be held Friday, at 2PM at Eastview Cemetery with Rev. Deborah Broadwell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Honea Path Presbyterian Church, PO Box 512, Honea Path, SC 29654. Pruitt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
