Sara Kirby

Ware Shoals – Sara Long Kirby, 91 widow of Harmon Humphrey Kirby, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at NHC of Laurens.

Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Palmer Long and Willie Mae Long Vanadore. She was a homemaker and a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church where she had taught Sunday School.

Surviving are two daughters, Ann Cranford and husband Jim of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Faye Ware and husband Buddy of Honea Path, eight grandchildren, James and John Cranford, Janie Cranford Martin, Keith Bryant, Deborah Bryant Franklin, Amy McClain Lane, Chuck Ware, and Joanna Ware Taylor, eight great-grandchildren, Ashley and Asher Cranford, Ivey-Ann Martin, Ryan Messer, Kandice Bryant, Andrew and Sarhel Franklin, and Charla Taylor, one great-great-grandchild, Savanna Grace Lane, a sister, Louise Culbertson of Ware Shoals and a brother, Gene Vanadore of Williamston.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mac Jones officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside. The family is at the home of a daughter, Faye Ware 312 Heyward Ave. Honea Path.
