Joanne Clamp

Ware Shoals- Joanne Emerson Clamp, 72, widow of Marvin Jack Clamp died May 30, 2012  at Hospice House in Greenwood.  She was born in Greenwood County, a daughter of the late Willie Calvin and Margaret Grace Martin Emerson.  Mrs. Clamp had been owner and operator of Clamp’s Food Store and was a former member of Ware Shoals Town Council.   She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church.

Surviving are:  one son, Tommy Clamp, Ware Shoals, three daughters, Debbie Bayne, Cristy Willis and Gerri McConnell all of Ware Shoals, three sisters, Joyce Adams, Donalds, Maurine Davis, Ware Shoals, Sue Armstrong, Simpsonville and a very special friend, Debbie Haynes,  also eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3 pm at Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mac Jones and Rev. Byron Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Kent Davis, Joey Armstrong, Bryson McConnell, Scott Horne, Danny Haynes, Zack Timms and Grayson Clamp.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Maurine Davis and will receive friends at Parker-White Funeral Home, Thursday, 6-8 pm.  The body will be placed in the church Friday at 2 pm.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 408 W.
