Honea Path – Lankford Johnson, 75, born April 8, 1937 to Lewis and Corine Dunkin Johnson in Donalds SC, left this walk of life to be with the Lord on Monday, August 13, 2012.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Anderson, where he was a Deacon and the Grounds Custodian. He was a mechanic and retired from Carolina Ford.
Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his loving wife of 56 years, Carrie Bowen Johnson of the home are: one son, Frankie Johnson of the home, two daughters, Darlene Templeton of the home and Vickie Fields and husband Roger of Honea Path, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased in death by his parents, a son, Greg Johnson, and ten siblings.
Funeral services will be held 3PM Thursday August 16, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church in Anderson with Rev. Greg Hamman, Bro. Paul Williams, and Rev. Tab Scarborough officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family will receive friends 7-9PM Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson will be placed in the church at 2PM Thursday. The family is at the home, 301 Canfield Rd.
